The Place at Platt Lane is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a trustee, you will provide strategic direction, support the development of our organisation, and help us grow into a sustainable, community-owned asset that truly reflects the diversity of Fallowfield.
Founded in 2013, The Place at Platt Lane took on the responsibility of running Fallowfield Library, with a vision to create a vibrant, inclusive community hub. Today, we generate income through room hire and donations while offering a wide range of services that promote learning, skills, employment, wellbeing, and access to library resources.
We’re excited about our progress and are eager to build on our success. To do this, we are particularly seeking individuals with expertise in:
- Accounting
- Business planning
- Networking and influencing
- Social media and marketing
- Legal
- Bid writing and funding procurement
- Fundraising
- Community engagement
