At Fallowfield Community Resource Centre, we’re more than just a building — we’re the beating heart of our community. As the only dedicated community hub in the area, we bring people together across all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Whether it’s toddlers enjoying story time, older adults finding friendship, or individuals learning new skills, The Place offers a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
Our work is shaped by the community, for the community. From ESOL and Talk English classes to cultural celebrations like Eid, Diwali, and Christmas, we celebrate the incredible diversity of Fallowfield — home to Arab, Bangladeshi, Ukrainian, Somali, Hindu, Chinese, Polish, English, and Irish communities.
Every week, our centre changes lives:

🌱 Job Club helped 101 people last year — 28 found work and 21 completed training.

💪 Volunteers contributed over 2,500 hours, with many moving into paid roles.

💷 Money Help service unlocked over £500,000 in financial support for local residents.

🛒 Community Grocer provides affordable food for 80 families every week, and 30 families receive emergency food support.

💬 Social and creative groups like Forever Young and Knit & Natter reduce loneliness for over 90 people weekly.

🧘 Health and wellbeing programmes engage more than 60 residents regularly.
