Fallowfield Library and Community Resource Centre: Our Journey and Vision
For over 11 years, Fallowfield Library and Community Resource Centre has thrived as a successful charity, delivering vital library services and community-focused initiatives that meet the evolving needs of Fallowfield’s residents.
A Community-Led Revival
In 2013, budget cuts at Manchester City Council (MCC) threatened the library’s closure. This sparked strong opposition within the community, leading to the formation of the Friends of Fallowfield (FoF). Through determined campaigning—including public meetings and demonstrations—FoF galvanized local support to save this cherished institution.
